The History Of Soon Hock Temple
Located at section 1 of kampung baru Pandamaran, Soon Hock was founded in 1970 and enshrines various Buddhist and Taoist deities such as Na Za, Qi Tian Ta Shen, Zhang Gong Seng Jun and etc.
With its over 30 years of history, Soon Hock temple is one of the oldest temple in klang. Its classic architecture, serene environment and attractive ambience with bridges and pond conjure a picturesque scene.
The fresh air and quite environment of Soon Hock temple attract many nearby resident to carry qi gong exercise or morning walk there. The clean premises, flowing fountain and swimming carp in the ponds of the temple premises a place of transquility and relaxation for visitor.
Over the year, the office bearers of the temple have worked actively to promote the activities of the temple for the benefit of local resident. Worshippers from near and far assemble and pray at the temple during the 1st and 15th day of lunar month.
During the 5th to 7th day of the 7th lunar month, the temple is colorfully decorat to mark the birthday of Na Za by holding various religious rites and activities and offer a vegetarian feast for worshipers from all work of life.
